The Kentucky Right to Life Association Political Action Committee has endorsed Jonathan Shell for State Representative in the 71st District which includes Garrard, Rockcastle, and a portion of Madison County.
The Kentucky Right to Life Association (KRLA), founded in 1973, serves as the state coordinating body for Right to Life groups representing tens of thousands of Kentucky citizens. They are a volunteer, non-profit organization composed of grassroots people of different political persuasions, faiths, economic, social and ethnic backgrounds.
“I have always stood for 100% pro-life values. This is because of my Christian beliefs and my faith in Jesus Christ.” Shell said “Absolutely nothing could have prepared me for when my children were born. Everyone says this, and it’s true! Your heart fills with a deep and inexplicable love. Everything you once thought you knew about caring for someone else changes forever. At that moment it’s impossible to argue against every human life being precious and created in God’s image. That inalienable right to life must be protected,”
Shell added “I am proud to have the endorsement of the Kentucky Right to Life Association PAC and I value their very important support.”
Shell was elected to the State House in 2012 and is the youngest member of the General Assembly. In the May 17th primary, he faces Buzz Carloftis who was Judge-Excutive of Rockcastle County for over 20 years before he was defeated in 2014 republican primary and as a wrote in candidate.
