The 2014 Elections are over and the hard work paid off! Across Kentucky and up and down the ballot conservatives experienced overwhelming success.
Kentucky is now preparing to lead the nation. With Americans delivering a pink slip to Obama’s Senate point man Harry Reid, job creating legislation passed by Congressional Republicans will now find the light of day under Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-KY (isn’t that cool to say?) .
So many people took an active role in this election whether it was knocking doors, making calls, or donating money. For Election Day, we organized a Get Out the Vote Center. Volunteers from Rockcastle, Garrard, Madison, Fayette, and Lincoln counties helped make a big impact and ensured strong showings for Senator McConnell, Congressman Barr, State Senator Jared Carpenter, and many Republicans running for local office. I appreciate everyone who helped in any capacity.
Unfortunately we fell short in flipping the State House. It is discouraging but our resolve remains in tact. I believe Kentuckians will see positive changes in Washington and State Capitols now under Republican control and follow suit in 2016. No election is easy though, and with so much at stake in our Commonwealth, the work to elect a Republican Governor followed by a Republican Majority in the State House starts today.
Again, thank you for all your hard work that made Election Day 2014 so successful.
